Mayor John E. McCormac, Woodbridge Township officials, local business owners and members of the community announced their official support of the Ensign John R. Elliott HERO Campaign for designated drivers June 29 at a press conference.

The 2010 Woodbridge Township “Have-A-Heart” food drive got underway in January with a challenge to Township food stores, restaurants, and businesses to donate 214 pounds of non-perishable food or contribute $214 to Township food pantries. The challenge concluded on Feb. 17 with more than 50 area businesses contributing over 20,000 pounds of food and more than $8,000 to “We Feed Woodbridge.” The annual “Have-A- Heart” food drive, coordinated by the Woodbridge Department of Health and Human Services, works with area food pantries, churches, parishes, schools and community and senior organizations to replenish and restock Township food pantries.
